Cleaning Technology Development
A large part of my work at Tesla included developing, validating, and refining cleaning strategies for their upcoming Robotaxi program. I had the opportunity to guide projects from ideation through validation, supplier negotiations, and presenting functional proof-of-concepts to leadership for approval.
Specifically, my contributions include:
- developing an autonomous interior cleaning solution capable of item removal, vacuuming, and wiping (video above)
- programming a computer vision model for dirt detection
- experimenting on novel methods to detect dirt not visible to the human eye
- studying dirt accumulation rates based on environmental factors
- validating novel passive and active sanitization methods
